Mike Henry (55)

Mike Henry was named BHP’s Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2020. He has worked in the resources business for almost 30 years, including in Australia, Asia, North America, and Europe.

Mike was previously the CEO of BHP’s Minerals unit in Australia. He has worked with BHP since 2003 and has had operational, commercial, and technical leadership positions. From 2015 to 2016, he was President Coal, and from 2013 to 2014, he was President HSE, Marketing, and Technology. Since 2011, Mike has been a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Mike has worked in the resources business in Canada, Japan, and Australia before joining BHP.

Mike Henry’s 30 years of extensive experience in his industry and subsequent rise to the top places him firmly on this list of leaders among Australian CEO’s.
